This portal is some glimpse into the makings of a universe called Binahkaye Joy.

I am scripting a journey through much of the magical, dynamic, and unknown methods and processes that swirl and evolve through me. Specifically sharing elements from the work of “Being” me and the bloom of who I am “Becoming.”

Be(come)ing Binahkaye is home to the many spirals and evolutions of me. There’s some of all of me here: movement, writing, doula work, motherhood, travel stories, life stories, artmaking stories, art explorations, woman’s work, business mapping, creative collaborations, sermons, lab notes, photos, essays sparked by extractions of sensory-contextual scripture, film projects, excerpts of performance art, character development, dance experiments, movement facilitation journeys with communities, community art programs, dreams, visions, vulnerable spaces, body dialogues, mother and motherartist advocacy, and many more elements of who I am and what I am creating.

I am stimulated by a passion to craft deliberate applications of language. I journey through myself in a vital state of hyper-sensitivity, celebrating an expanded emotional literacy for humanity. I believe in color as a form of communication and seek out spaces and clothing that embody bright and vibrant energies. My work is largely devoted to creating processes of joy and discovery in wide, open spaces. I am so much more than words will ever shape. But this is a start. Of sorts.
