In the spring of 2009 I was preparing to present a one-woman show of several dance journeys. I was also introducing myself as a Visionary Space Activator for the first time. At the time, I was transitioning from an earlier identity as, “Mother of Movement,” and stepping into this newborn experience that was rooted in my experiments with “open space activation” and dancing in public spaces. The Mother Project and an early version of Booty Folklore were a part of this show.

Before the show I was interviewed by Sonya Collins of The Glass House DC and SonyaWins about me, my process, and my experiences creating as an artist in DC.
